The wood effect breast feeding necklace best suited my style. With my six month old becoming increasingly easily distracted from breast feeding and always having been a wriggly, arms all over the place, pushing, grabbing little girl when feeding, this seemed like such a good idea. I am very pleased to report she likes it as much as I do. She is calmer when feeding and likes to hold onto the necklace (rather than handfuls of me) and even when she pulls it it happily slides round and she just gets more beads and I don't have broken jewellery. She can still be wriggly but it certainly has helped. The beads close up you can tell are plastic but this does not bother me as they are made of safe plastic and I have had complements from friends about my new necklace and they have been genuinely surprised when I've explained it isn't actually wooden. So I would recommend this necklace and so I think would my daughter.
I ordered the wood effect breastfeeding necklace and was a bit disappointed. The necklace is beautiful from a distance, but up close, the "wood effect" beads are really cheap looking with obvious mould lines. In addition, some of the beads used in my necklace have religious symbology on them - very catholic looking angels complete with rayed halo. My final dislike is that it is incredibly heavy compared to wood which isn't great when your baby starts to wave it around and clunks you in the jaw, temple and themselves on the head! However, the service was great, my LO likes playing with the necklace and I will probably use the service again to buy another necklace.
